We offer the following options in cable construction:
Conductor: Annealed Bare or tinned Copper Conductor as per IS 8130 , BS EN/IEC 60228.
Conductor Size: 0.1 to 240 sq mm.
Strand size: Class 2 to 6 or as low as 0.1 mm
◍ RoHS compliant flame retardant PVC grade as per IS 5831, BS EN 50363. HR PVC rated up to 105 and 125℃ can also be provided.
◍ FLRY-B/ ISO 6722 Class B type insulation compounds for automotive applications.
◍ TPE for even better overall flexing results and drag chain applications.
◍ ZHFR ( Halogen free) compounds are recommended for marine, defense and medical applications.
◍ PP/LDPE can be used where high speed data communication is require application
◍ High temperature PVC or TPE with continuous operating temperatures up to 125’C can be incorporated too.
Stranding: Number of cores from 2-50 regardless of the size, type etc can be incorporated. We can also strand a variation/misture of cores.
Taping: Elcab has more than 5 types of tapes that can be used as a separator between the cores and shield/screen.
Bedding: Bedding is nothing but a layer of RoHS compliant PVC used instead of a separator.
Shielding: A layer of copper/aluminum mylar tape is applied helically over to separator/bedding with or without a drain wire.
Drain wire: A tightly twisted yet flexible tinned copper conductor of various sizes is used to drain the shield.
Screening: A braided screen of tinned copper wires of various sizes ranging from 0.1 to 0.2 mm are braided onto the cable to give EMI/EMC compatibility against external/internal noises.
Individual shielding and Screening: Individually screened as well as overall screened cables can be laid up together and screened overall for more efficient communication and minimal cross talk.
